Week of April 18-21, 2017
This week our theme will focus on the letter “Uu” and ways to take care of our earth as Saturday is Earth Day. We will do a variety of math, literacy and fine motor activities which include: finding letter U in words around our classroom and in our names, math games with unifix cubes, understanding the positional words up, under, upside down and their opposites. We will paint pictures while underneath a table for a different perspective and to develop vestibular coordination.
Looking ahead, we are approaching our last month of school. In May we will take a field trip to the zoo and be doing a bike/trike-a-thon on another date to be determined. The Bike-a-thon is an annual fundraiser for St. Jude that the preschool and kindergarten classes do each year. I will have an exact date and give further details soon!
I have been taking pictures and short videos of students engaging in activities throughout the school year. I would like to share those with you. I will make a digital file for each student. Please send a flash drive to school at your earliest convenience so I can add your child’s file to it. I will give it back to you in June when we meet for our final conference. If your child was in Mrs. C’s class last year, you can bring that same flash drive in if you would like.
